The Chancel Choir is the foundation of UPC’s music ministry, providing musical leadership every Sunday during the choir season. This dedicated group of singers rehearse weekly and prepare music from a wide variety of choral music styles. The choir presents a special musical presentation during the year that have recently included Vivaldi’s Gloria, Mass of the Children by John Rutter, the Michigan premiere of Requiem by Mack Wilberg, and Paul Winter’s Missa Gaia. In addition, the Chancel Choir are spiritual and musical mentors to our youth and children choirs, encouraging them in their ministry and delighting in sharing the choir loft with them. New choir members are always welcome at anytime during the year.

6:30-7:30 Rehearsal

Our adult bell choir rehearse weekly on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 during the school year. We play during worship one Sunday each month with loving dedication to our role of leading the congregation in worship. Our repertoire is diverse and includes music from many styles and with many other instruments. Our group includes those who read music at a high skill level and moderately good readers. The Bible says "Praise God with a crashing cymbal" and we believe that also means with the tintinnabulation of the bells!  

Intergenerational UPC Gospel and Praise Singers 
Sunday 11:30-12:30 twice a month

The UPC Gospel Singers is an intergenerational choir for children, youth and adults. This spirit-filled choir rehearse 2 times a month on Sundays from 11:30-12:30. The UPC Gospel and Praise Singers have been blessed to join in praise with the Family and Friends Choir of Detroit at UPC and in Detroit.
