2011/2012 Confirmation Program Schedule
Our confirmation curriculum is based on the faith questions of our students. We also read and study the entire book of Luke and learn important theological terms and concepts throughout the year. We also have a special opening and closing retreat.

October 18—Luke 4—~Why does science almost always contradict the Bible? Where do the dinosaurs come into the Bible? Do we have any proof that God made the world besides the Bible? Words of the week: theology
October 25—Luke 5— If you choose not to follow God and he really is real, is it a sin if you turn from Him if he exists? Will hell be your future? Is it bad to believe in nothing? Do you have to believe in someone? Words of the week: grace
November 8—Luke 6— Why are there so many passages in the Bible? Words of the week: inerrancy, infallibility
November 22—Luke 7— Passage to Heaven? Words of the week: eschatology, universalism
December 6—Luke 8-9— What is Hell exactly? Words of the week: sanctification, Advent
December 13—Luke 10— What is a sin? Is breaking the law a sin?

January 10—Luke 11-12— If there is always forgiveness, why are people sent to Hell?

March 13—Luke 18— Is the Holy Ghost basically God? Is the Holy Ghost the Angel Gabriel? Words of the week: Trinity
March 27—Luke 19—Is there a difference between all of the religions, or is it just how they learn everything? How did other religions start like Buddhism, Jewish, Hindu, and others? Words of the week: monotheism, predestination
April 10—Luke 20— What is the difference between Presbyterian, Lutheran, Catholic, and other types of churches? What does being Christian really mean? Words of the week: elder, deacon
April 24—Luke 21— What happens in the end? Would heaven and hell be destroyed when the sun exploded? Is the world going to end December 2012?
