Young Adult Cook Off

Join us for an exciting and creative challenge! Each team will craft a food on a secret theme that will be revealed to you in advance. But here’s the twist: a mystery ingredient will be unveiled when you arrive, and it must be incorporated into your dessert! You’ll have one hour to create, cook, and plate your delicious creation. Ready to take on the challenge?

1. Sign up by January 3rd to secure your spot. You can register by contacting Stephanie or signing up on the church website.

2. On January 4th, you’ll receive an email with the secret theme of the challenge! The theme will guide your creation, but the real twist will come when the mystery ingredient is revealed. You’ll also be assigned your team for the challenge!

3. Submit Your Ingredient List by January 6th: After receiving the theme, you’ll have until January 6th to send me your ingredient list. You can use up to 10 ingredients for your creation (no more than 10, please). The goal is to keep it simple, yet creative!

4. When you arrive on January 9th, the mystery ingredient will be revealed. You’ll need to use this surprise ingredient in your creation—so get ready to think outside the box and have fun with it!

5. Once the clock starts, you’ll have one hour to create, cook, and plate your creation. Make sure it’s ready for tasting and judging at the end of the hour!

6. After the challenge, we’ll taste each creation and vote on the winners in three exciting categories: Most Creative Use of the Mystery Ingredient, Best Flavor, and Best Presentation
