
Meet Jonathan
He/him
Jon is the Director of Music and Organist at University Presbyterian Church where he coordinates music for worship services. He also directs choirs for children, youth, and adults.
My Story
Jonathan is a church organist, conductor, and award-winning choral composer from Rochester, NY. Prior to his appointment at University Presbyterian Church, he served as the Director of Music at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church from 2020-2025, and was on the faculty of the Hochstein School as Assistant Director and Composer-in-Residence for the Hochstein Youth Singers. Jon also taught vocal music and choir at McQuaid Jesuit High School and served as Assistant Director for numerous vocal ensembles in the Rochester area, including First Inversion, the Eastman/Christ Church Schola Cantorum, and the choirs at Nazareth University. For five years, Jon sat on the board of the Rochester Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
